New Year's is a harmless annual institution, of no particular use to anybody save as a scapegoat for promiscuous drunks, and friendly calls and humbug resolutions. - Mark Twain

Thanks for this quote by Mark Twain on the New Year. I've never read it, was born in 1947, on New Year's Day in Enterprise, Alabama USA. Also, your links are almost entirely active (one Tom Waits, as I remember vaguely, as I can do better now, that is, remember vaguely) ... where was I? Oh yes, at your blog WEIRDTOWN. I like it very much, and the Bonzo Museum is enchanting. I must tell you of the time I saw the Bonzo's Live at the Fillmore East in NYC... back in the day, actually, it was the night. Friday Night to be exact. I remember that it was Summer in NYC. Perhaps 1969, have you heard of a recording of that show? I didn't go all that well. I will continue if you like, on another of the Bonzo posts. My time is up here... That is, writing this, not on earth and all that. Thanks again for the mammaries, as Bob Hope used to say to Jane Russell.
One of the few to see Tiny Tim, The Bonzos, Zappa a bunch of times...even TIm Buckley. But not Lord Buckley, or Kay Martin, and her Bodyguards. I did see Chesty Morgan, though, on 42nd Street. Not on the street, in her show. Which did show quite a bit.
