I'm scared to download this. Really. Rod McKuen ... I mean, I've done some lowdown evil shit in my life but I have never willingly given time to Rod McKuen. Soldiers who want to be heroes, number practically zero ... but there's the *typography* dammit ... please ... remove this link ... save me from my basest urges ...

A friend has this album in the late 1970s. By then the hippie thing had washed out to sea. We were in a punk band and on break during rehearsals would play this for comic relief. I still remember the opening line from one of the poems..."I dig.....Sausalito! [enter descending bass line with brushes across the snare]" All I can say is....I dig....Rod McKuen......

Don't do it, ".". I did & LOOK AT ME! Even if the scratchy record was cleaned before recording, & even if Rod was half as natural as he was on his Warner Bros. LP's & even if this was just slightly kinda groovy, I STILL would have done what I just got done doing; DELETED IT.
